Parent programs

RRISD Council provides district-wide parent programs held at various schools around the district. Please contact us if you have an idea for a program that would be beneficial to a large audience from different schools. Past Parent Programs have included School Board Candidate forums, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training, and a Kindness Party.

Where to find professional help - Do NOT just Google it. You will be overwhelmed. Instead, search for a therapist on Psychology Today (filter on location, insurance, specialization and other criteria).
Child should be involved along with the parent in selecting practitioner, and you may need to try a few before finding a good match. While the therapist will let the parent know if there is a safety concern that arises, do not expect to get a report about what was discussed.
